OUR PURPOSE & MISSION

Our purpose is to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ, remain true to the Bible, and to make disciples.  Our first priority is to exalt our Savior through worship and praise.  Worship will not be about preference or style but about hearts and attitudes that demonstrate that our God is alive and remembered by all generations.  Secondly, we will pursue to edify, equip, and disciple all generations of true believers through biblical preaching, teaching, and fellowship in order to rightfully know and faithfully serve God.  Our third priority for every true generation of believers is the obedience regarding the great commission to evangelize and make disciples through proclaiming and living out the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The outcome of exaltation, edification and evangelism will be numerical and spiritual growth.

EXAlt the savior

Our commitment to exalt the Savior will be demonstrated through an active and living relationship with God through Jesus Christ His Son.  As the generation of believers come together in unity to worship the LORD at MTBC, we will demonstrate and focus on praising God through various blended styles which are Christ centered.  Exaltation and worship expresses a personal relationship with God that touches the heart and soul.  True worship focuses on our God and Savior while lovingly participates in unity with other believers without criticism and judgment.  God our Creator has created His people unique and diverse yet one in exalting His name throughout all generations.

Psalms 45-17

"I will make Thy Name to be remembered in all generations therefore shall the people praise Thee forever and ever."

EDIFY THE SAINTS

Our commitment to edify and build up the current and future generations will remain established in the Word of God.  Every ministry within MTBC will be directed under the authority of Scripture and biblical church leadership.  Through the steadfastness of "Raising a Generation who knows God", we will pursue to equip spiritually mature believers through worship and prayer; the pulpit ministry, Sunday School and church hour; Youth Ministries, Children's Programs, Bible Studies, Small Groups, Drama Ministries, conferences and retreats; social hospitality activities and all outreach ministries.  In edifying the LORD, we unite each believer in love to stand and be strong in the LORD sharing together in the work of the ministry which involves faith participation within the life of the church and preparing the generations to follow.  That is, teaching faithful men, women, and youth to be able to reach and teach the next generation of faithful men, women, youth and children.

Ephesians 4:15b & 16

"...may grow up in all things into Him Who is the head - Christ - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying itself in love."
